ECQ, KSA, PTQ,, TQ Writing and EditingCamille excels in writing narratives at all levels. Narratives are also known as KSAs, PTQs, TQs, and ECQs for government positions. KSA=Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities. PTQ=Professional and Technical Qualifications. TQs=Technical Qualifications. ECQ=Executive Core Qualifications. These statements are like essay questions on a test. Think of them like a mini-interview--on paper! This is your opportunity to show your value to the employer and why they should hire you.
She have been writing successful narrative statements for more than 20 years! Camille developed a successful process to develop narratives from specific experiences from your background that will demonstrate your abilities. They will be edited for correct grammar, punctuation, content flow, relevance, logical organization, and ensure specific examples demonstrating your experience effectively answer the statements specific to the job announcement. She will ensure you have answered these statements using my unique method of combining the CCAR (Content, Challenge, Action, Result) method of writing and STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) of writing. These are two methods that hiring managers and federal personnel officers prefer. Both methods have proven to be very successful. The following services are provided for narratives--KSAs, ECQs, TQs, PTQs:
- Ensure proper verbs, nouns, and key words that emphasize your experience.
- Ensure clear and concise answers.
- Create sentences and paragraphs to demonstrate your value to the organization.
- Create, design, and format your answers to match your federal resume, if we assist you with your resume. Your will have strong content, high-impact, and visually-appealing documents.
- Ensure the correct information is identified in the headings.
- Ensure the KSA, ECQ, TQ, and PTQ statements are correct for GS-levels and SES levels.
- We will edit and improve upon what you have given us to ensure the best possible demonstration of your skills and abilities. If you need help getting started, we can do that, too. We have proven, successful methods of "picking your brain" for information.
Each statement should be at least one page in length. PTQ's and ECQ's can and should be longer, but the announcement will usually address the length. They need to specifically demonstrate your knowledge, skills, and abilities to do what the narrataive statement asks. They need to come from YOUR experiences, not duties. Duties and accomplishments can be addressed on the resume. Narrative statements need to demonstrate and complement the experience you list on your resume. You should not be afraid to detail this by giving examples that demonstrate your knowledge, skills, and abilities and by making it interesting to the reader. By making it interesting, you will stand out from your competition. You can be rated higher for each statement if they are well-written and well thought out demonstrations of experience.
Narrative statements need to be from your experience and cannot be made up statement, for ethical reasons. You will need to be able to defend your statements in an interview and possibly answer even in more detail during the interview. Camille will provide direction on how to answer them and what to include. The process can be a bit time-consuming, so do not delay if you are up against a deadline. Plan to spend 2-3 hours per narrative, depending on the GS or SES level.
